Word of the Week: Spring

The word spring is a noun and is defined as the season between winter and summer comprising (in the northern hemisphere) of the months of March, April, and May or astronomically extending from the March equinox to the June solstice. First used before the 12th century, the word spring derives from the Old English word “spring,”  perhaps referring to the increase in growth of plants and trees during this season.
