Submission policies
Currently, I only accept file formats in MS Word.
Timeline of manuscript submission

1. At least 3 days is required for all proofreading edits, not including the initial review process 
2. At least 5 days is required for all light copyediting edits, not including the initial review process 
3. At least 7 days is required for all heavy copyediting edits, not including the initial review process

Return policies
Edits will be made and returned promptly upon completion

Upon completion, 2 manuscripts will be returned: the completed manuscript and the completed manuscript with track changes recorded. The voice of the applicant is most important; therefore, the applicant has the ability to accept or reject edits made to the document.

Rates 
A free consultation will be given to discuss the goal of your project; then, I will review the manuscript to give a proper time and rate estimate for either an hourly or flat rate fee.

I currently focus on editing resumes, statement of purposes, and other writing samples for college and graduate school applications. I am open to copyedit all writing samples. Please query if you are interested in working with me. Rates are offered on a tiered pricing strategy, don’t hesitate to reach out and we can talk about what works best for your project.

Hourly rates
All hourly work will be recorded. Only time editing the document will be recorded, breaks by the editor will not be included in final time (i.e., bathroom, phone calls, etc.)

Hourly payments will be requested after the editing process has been completed and time has been calculated; however, payment must be received before the completed manuscript is returned to the client. In general, when performing a light copyedit, I edit about 600 words/hour.

Flat rates
Flat rate payments will be requested after the editing process has been completed; however, payment must be received before the completed manuscript is returned to the client.

If payment is over $500, clients will pay 25% of total payment (non-refundable) before the editing process has started. The final 75% of the total payment must be received before the completed manuscript is returned to the client.

Contract
We will discuss the requirements of the project, the cost, the time frame. Once agreed upon, we will sign a standard editorial contract. No changes to price or negotiated terms will be made without contacting you first.
